Together we can fight cervical cancer

Highland

In Scotland, all girls aged 12-13 in their second year of secondary school (S2) are routinely invited to receive the HPV vaccine to help protect against cervical cancer.

In addition, from 1 September 2008, all girls in Scotland aged 13-17 were invited to receive the HPV vaccine through a one-off, three-year immunisation programme for older girls.

If you have left school since September 2008 and have not completed your three doses, or you have not yet taken up the offer of the immunisation, you are still eligible. If you are registered with a GP in Inverness, you will receive an invitation by letter to attend a community immunisation clinic. Clinics are at:

- Culloden Surgery
- Culloden Medical Practice
- Cairn Medical Practice
- Kingsmills Medical Practice
- Fairfield Medical Practice
- Riverside Medical Practice
- Dundedin Medical Practice
- Kinmylies Medical Practice
- The Surgery, 43 Southside Road
- Burnfield Medical Practice
- Crown Medical Practice

All other girls will receive the HPV immunsiation from their local GP practice.
