Together we can fight cervical cancer

Girls in Scotland who have left school and will be under 19 years of age on 1 September 2009 are being invited to receive the HPV vaccine to help protect against cervical cancer.

Those girls eligible for the vaccine, who have left school and are registered with an Inverness GP will receive a letter outlining the community vaccination sessions available for them. These will be held at the Ironworks, 122b Academy Street, Inverness, on the following dates:

Session 1
Monday 26 October 2009 11am – 3pm
OR Wednesday 28 October 2009 2pm – 6pm

Session 2
Monday 21 December 2009 11am – 3pm
OR Tuesday 22 December 2009 2pm – 6pm

Session 3
Monday 26 April 2010 11am – 3pm
OR Wednesday 28 April 2010 2pm – 6pm


Those girls still in school, eligible for the immunisation who may have missed their appointment or mislaid their invite should telephone 01463 701314. Those who have already had one or two of their doses should let the department know.

Girls eligible for the immmunisation who are registered with a GP outwith Inverness, should contact their GP.
