Together we can fight cervical cancer

Orkney

The school immunisation programme starts in Orkney for girls in S2, S4 and S5 , in September 2009. Girls will be invited by letter to have their immunisation, given by the school nurse, at one of the special clinics held in Kirkwall Grammar School and Stromness Academy. Eligible girls living in Stronsay, Sanday, Westray, Papa Westray and Hoy will be contacted by their GP.

There will be a catch-up campaign later in the year for those eligible girls who have missed any of their immunisations in school, and for those who have left school.
