Shetland
Girls in Scotland who have left school and will be under 19 years of age on 1 September 2009 are being invited to receive the HPV vaccine to help protect against cervical cancer.
For girls who have left school or unable to attend the in-school immunisation sessions, NHS Shetland will be running clinics in the Child Health Department at the Gilbert Bain Hospital on an appointment basis.
Girls who were offered the vaccine in the first year of the immunisation programme - 2008/09 - but either did not respond to the invitation or who did not complete the course of three doses will be contacted by NHS Shetland.
Girls who are a Shetland resident, are eligible for the immunisation programme, but have not received an invitation should contact the School Health Department on 01595 743076.
